Savings Accounts

This is your membership account; you must keep a minimum of $25 in this account at all times. You receive dividends on this account when your average daily balance is over $100. The dividends are compounded quarterly and paid quarterly. You have access to six withdrawals a month in your savings account, and then you are charged a fee for all withdrawals thereafter.

Money Markets

If you are looking for a higher-earning account but want to avoid long-term commitment, then this is the account for you. Our money market accounts earn interest monthly, and you do not have to worry about maturity dates. Money market accounts yield a higher return on your deposits than our traditional savings accounts. Unlike some accounts you may see advertised (where your investment is not insured), your deposit at Employees Federal Credit Union is federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.

IRA Accounts

With uncertainty over the ability of Social Security to meet your needs, you will be forced to rely more on your own resources to support your retirement lifestyle. Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are great tax-favored ways to save for retirement. With a traditional IRA, your earnings grow tax-deferred, so you won’t owe income taxes until you make withdrawals. If you are eligible, your contributions may be tax deductible. The credit union offers both Traditional and Roth IRA in savings.

Share Certificates

With only a $1,000 deposit, members can access the six to sixty-month share certificates with above-average yields that are amongst the highest around.

Federal Insurance

The money on deposit at Employees Federal Credit Union is insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for up to $250,000 per member through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The NCUA is a federal agency that has oversight of all federally insured credit unions in the United States.
